My story

Hallie Smith is a ceramic artist based in Simpsonville, South Carolina, creating functional pottery known for its bright color palettes and playful, one-of-a-kind designs. Art has always been part of her life, shifting through different mediums over the years, but clay is the one she continually returns to. She first worked with it at eight years old, rediscovered it in college, and quickly realized it was an artistic path she never wanted to leave.

Hallie holds a B.S. in Visual Arts along with an M.B.A., a combination that supports both her creative practice and her full-time career in marketing and events. Alongside her professional work, she continues to grow her presence in the arts through gallery placements and pop-up events, sharing pieces that bring color, joy, and daily functionality to the people who use them.

Working primarily in stoneware, Hallie gravitates toward vibrant glazes and forms shaped by curiosity and the simple love of making. She is also an experienced photographer, a practice that complements her eye for composition and color and can be explored further on a separate page of her site.

Made with care

I love creating functional pottery that doubles as art, bringing beauty into your everyday life. Each piece I make is one-of-a-kind—I enjoy experimenting with new shapes, textures, and color combinations. While I occasionally create sets, I especially love crafting pieces that are unique and not perfectly “matchy,” so every item has its own personality.
